As I pondered on the title of Ambika’s book, I wondered to myself, what exactly is the reason Cupid a bastard? Legend and lore paint him as a nice person, intent on targeting lovers for the sake of love. But something inside of me already knew Ambika Devi’s title is an acurate statement because I have been one of this creature’s targets on a number of occasions, yes I have. In her book, Ambika seemingly channels the psyche of the winged cherub. She cleverly and poetically reveals how the trickster we call, Cupid, actually thinks and operates. Thanks, Ambika, for giving us a leg up when engaging in matters of love.
